TutorQatar ("TutorQatar," "we," "us," or "our") operates tutorqatar.com, a platform that connects students and parents in Qatar with independent tutors. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our website, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have regarding that data.

This policy is written with reference to Qatar's Law No. 13 of 2016 Concerning the Protection of Personal Data ("PDPPL"), which governs the processing of personal data in Qatar.

We collect personal data that you voluntarily submit through our website forms:

• Hire a Tutor form: your name, relationship to the student, WhatsApp number, email address, the student's grade/level, subject needed, curriculum, preferred session type, and any additional notes you provide.
• Become a Tutor form: your name, WhatsApp number, email address, subjects and levels you teach, session preference, and background/experience information.
• Contact form: your name, email or WhatsApp contact details, and your message.

We do not currently use cookies, analytics, or automated tracking tools on this website. If that changes in the future — for example, to add usage analytics — this policy will be updated accordingly before such tools go live.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide solely to:

• Match students with an appropriately vetted tutor;
• Communicate with you about your request, application, or inquiry via WhatsApp or email;
• Review and screen tutor applications as part of our vetting process;
• Respond to general inquiries submitted through our Contact form;
• Maintain records necessary to operate and improve our matching service.

We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making, profiling, or any purpose beyond what is described above.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties. Information you submit is used internally by TutorQatar to facilitate tutor matching and respond to inquiries. Tutor application details (such as subjects taught and background) may be reviewed internally as part of our vetting process before a tutor is approved to join our network.

We may disclose personal data if required to do so by Qatari law or a valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of TutorQatar, our users, or others.

5. Data Storage & Security

Form submissions are transmitted via a secure connection and delivered directly to a dedicated TutorQatar mailbox. We take reasonable technical measures to protect the personal data you share with us, consistent with the security obligations set out in the PDPPL, though no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy — for example, to complete a tutor match or respond to your inquiry — unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

7. Your Rights

Under the PDPPL, you have the right to:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you;
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
• Request deletion of your personal data, subject to any legal or legitimate business reasons we may have to retain it;
• Withdraw any consent you previously provided.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below. As a guardian, you may also exercise these rights on behalf of a minor whose data you submitted.
